Wawa Announces Launch of its Retail Media Network

The “Goose Media Network” Offers Wawa Partners Opportunities to Make New Connections with Customers in Wawa’s Unique Retail Experience

February 27, 2024 – Wawa, Inc., is thrilled to announce the official launch of its very own retail media network called “Goose Media Network,” offering a new way to enhance convenience for its dedicated consumer base. Through the new Retail Media Network, Wawa’s customer shopping experience will be supported in new ways by allowing customers to engage with partner brands through custom ads and campaigns across a variety of digital channels. Current product and brand partners will be able to participate in programs delivering promotions on Wawa’s websites, on the mobile app, or at a Wawa store through video at the pump, all with visually appealing media that allow visitors to discover and engage with their product, brand and Wawa’s offerings.

“Goose Media Network elevates convenience by delivering offers to customers right where they shop and allows us to build new connections with our customers and partners’ brands,” said Melissa Seabright, Advertising Manager for Wawa. “This new opportunity will help connect our customers with new and relevant offers from brands they love while allowing us to increase visibility for our product partners.”

Wawa partnered with Publicis Groupe’s Publicis Sapient, Epsilon, and CitrusAd to bring together their industry-leading digital business transformation services, retail media expertise and advertising technology platform.  “We are excited to extend our partnership with Wawa and help brands grow their relationship and customer base with Wawa through its Goose Media Network,” said Ganesh Rangarajan, GVP & Managing Partner at Publicis Sapient. “Brands will reach shoppers and customers will more easily find products, try new products and discover new brands.”

The Goose Media Network supports Wawa’s goal of providing a premier customer experience through an ongoing commitment to increasing convenience. To kick off the Goose Media Network, Wawa is leveraging its recently transformed digital experience and tech infrastructure to provide customers with multiple methods, including on-site, mobile app and off-site placements, to view partner products. Through the Goose Media Network, vendor partners and brands will be able to efficiently deliver customizable offers, marketing promotions and other relevant content to customers across Wawa’s more than 1,000 stores. About Wawa
Wawa, Inc., a privately held company, began in 1803 as an iron foundry in New Jersey. Toward the end of the 19th Century, owner George Wood took an interest in dairy farming and the family began a small processing plant in Wawa, PA in 1902. The milk business was a huge success, due to its quality, cleanliness and “certified” process. As home delivery of milk declined in the early 1960s, Grahame Wood, George’s grandson, opened the first Wawa Food Market in 1964 in Pennsylvania as an outlet for dairy products. Today, Wawa is your all day, every day stop for freshly prepared foods, beverages, coffee, fuel services and surcharge-free ATMs. With nearly 1,000 locations to date, Wawa stores offer a large fresh foodservice selection, including Wawa brands such as custom prepared hoagies, freshly-brewed coffee, hot breakfast sandwiches, hand-crafted specialty beverages, a dinner menu including burgers and pizza along with an assortment of soups, sides and snacks. Ranks Wawa as #20 of America’s Largest Private Companies, #1 in Convenience Category for America’s Best Customer Service by Newsweek, and one of Forbes 2023 America’s Best Employers for Women and New College Grads.
