From the pandemic, which disrupted the entire travel and hospitality industry, to the rise of the sharing economy, the hotel sector has faced significant challenges in recent years.

Fortunately, Marriott’s enterprise innovation team recognized the shift in the market and duly launched a travel experience incubator focusing on the connections and trends in consumer behavior, ranging from travel and leisure to technology.

The long-term, established relationship between Marriott and Publicis Sapient meant we set to work, building a platform marketplace on a complete cloud-native, microservices-based architecture, able to scale and cater to the unique preferences of Marriott’s 140M+ global customers. Thus, HVMI was born.

Now, based on guest data and machine learning, HVMI has the power to curate the trip of a lifetime with personalized suggestions and offers, all within the Bonvoy ecosystem.

The solution covers end-to-end processes, from inventory management, reservation processing, card and Bonvoy points redemption to reporting and financial reconciliation capabilities. Since inception, we’ve helped HVMI integrate with over 20 partners, added thousands of listings and grown the number of bookings and revenue by over 200% year-on-year.
