Renault Partners with Publicis Sapient to Create the Digital Twin of its Future Flagship

This digital twin is a virtual replica of Renault's future flagship showroom located on the Champs- Élysées

PARIS, France, December 13, 2023 - Publicis Sapient, a digital business transformation company, announced today it has supported Renault in creating and implementing a virtual replica of Renault’s future flagship on the Champs-Élysées. This digital twin offers users a sophisticated virtual universe. It is faithful to the actual concept as imagined by architect Franklin Azzi, although it incorporates a few artistic liberties made possible by the tool.

This digital twin, available now worldwide, offers users a unique immersive experience in the world of Renault. It is available in multiple languages, including French, English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, and German. Users can access it from any device with an internet connection using the URL or QR code.

For the creation of Renault's digital twin, Publicis Sapient used cutting-edge technology based on Pixel Streaming under the Unreal Engine. Unreal Engine is the most open and advanced real-time 3D creation tool in the world, used to develop popular video games like Fortnite. This technology allows for the creation of photorealistic visuals and immersive experiences.

Once inside this universe retracing 125 years of the brand's history, users can create their personalized avatar and interact with other visitors through a public or private chat, or with the integrated microphone system. Visitors can move around and discover the models, from the oldest to the latest in the range. A drop-down menu provides direct access to the vehicle of your choice. Moreover, visitors have direct access to the originals renault store, where they can purchase branded merchandise.

This digital twin aims to become the home for all of Renault's online communities, through experiences offered to a wide audience. The modular platform will be designed to integrate numerous future developments, in order to drive user engagement and create commercial opportunities in line with Renault's web3 strategy.
